WCC Educational Tours is a division of Westcoast Connection, a globally recognized leader in student travel since 1982. Specializing in custom-designed school trips, they offer immersive educational experiences across North America and beyond. Catering to schools, youth organizations, and educational associations, WCC Educational Tours crafts tailored itineraries that blend learning with adventure. Whether it's language immersion in Quebec, a music tour in New York, or a service and adventure experience in Costa Rica, they handle every detail to ensure a seamless and enriching journey for students.

THE BRIEF

When West Coast Connection — a leader in teen tours, student travel, and pre-college programs — launched their new branch focused on educational tours, they needed a website that could stand on its own. With a small window to reach schools before the start of the academic year, timing was everything.

They came to us for a complete website that clearly presented their offerings, introduced their team, and showcased their sample itineraries — all while making it easy for educators to get in touch. With our Website in a Week model, we were ready to make it happen.

THE SCOPE

Our goal was to create a site that felt welcoming, clear, and educational — a true reflection of their brand. We developed:

  • High-level branding: a fresh colour palette, thoughtful typography, and motifs inspired by travel and learning.

  • A clear and intuitive structure: content and navigation designed with schools and teachers in mind — simple, organized, and never overwhelming.

  • Lead generation tools: a dedicated section to host their lead magnet, helping them grow their email list from day one.

  • Showcase pages: a user-friendly way to explore sample itineraries, helping visitors quickly understand the value of their programs.

  • Easy contact options: making it simple for educators to reach out, request information, and start planning.

HOW THE day UNFOLDED

Using our Website in a Week framework, we collaborated closely to bring their vision to life. We started with a strategy session to map out the site’s structure, user experience, and goals — including plans for a Phase 2 that would build on analytics gathered post-launch.

From there, we developed a cohesive colour palette, font pairings, and visual motifs that captured their brand identity. The homepage, About page, Contact page, and Itinerary page were designed in full, using the Squarespace blog feature and custom code to make their tours easy to browse and filter.

We also integrated their lead magnet, created an organized FAQ section to reduce common questions, and added a secondary menu linking to their client portal. To ensure accessibility across Canada, the entire site was translated into French using Weglot.

THE FINALE

West Coast Connection Educational Tours now has a clean, engaging, and easy-to-navigate website that reflects their brand and purpose. Visitors can seamlessly explore programs, meet the team, access the client portal, and download their free resource — all in two languages.

The result? A site that connects educators to exceptional learning experiences and sets the stage for future growth.
